Spirit Airlines has named Dave Davis, former president and CFO of Sun Country Airlines, as its new president and CEO, effective April 21, the carrier announced Thursday. He succeeds Ted Christie, who stepped down on April 7 after Spirit emerged from bankruptcy.
Davis served as Sun Country CFO since April 2018 and president since December 2019, according to the Sun Country website. Prior to joining Sun Country, Davis worked for a variety of companies including Global Eagle Entertainment, Northwest Airlines and US Airways.
