Priorities for the European Tourism Sector

Last week marked the launch of the European Tourism Manifesto.
Over 70 organisations representing the tourism sector in Europe lay out their priorities for the next legislative term.
HOTREC is a member of the Manifesto and took an active role in drafting the priorities.
Here’s how to enhance the travel and tourism industry:
- Decarbonisation
- Smart EU funding
- Resilient connectivity and freedom of movement
- Skills training and sector appeal
For the EU institutions, the Tourism Manifesto Alliance calls on a new Commissioner for Tourism, a strong Tourism Taskforce at the European Parliament, and yearly Ministerial Meetings at the Council.
