GAMA welcomes 7 new memberships


The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) welcomed MedAire and VSE Aviation as members and And Battery Aero, Elroy Air, H55, Reliable Robotics and Transcend Air as Associate Members EPIC.

MedAire is an International SOS company, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona and founded in 1985. It provides integrated travel risk management solutions, including onboard medical kits and the ground-based medical advisory service MedLink. Its services also include security intelligence, crew support, real-time health and security advice, training and medical equipment for commercial and private aircraft. MedAire’s mission is to provide expert medical, security and operational support to ensure the safety of travelers and assets.

VSE Aviation was founded in 1959 and is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. VSE provides aftermarket services for aerospace, defense and fleet customers. It is the largest business segment, supporting global aftermarket customers with parts distribution and MRO services for components and engine accessories for business, general aviation, commercial, cargo, military and rotorcraft customers.

And Battery Aero is headquartered in Mountain View, California and was founded in 2022. It is focused on building advanced battery systems for electric aviation and is part of a federally funded ARPA-E program developing battery systems for eVTOL aircraft.

Elroy Air is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded in 2016. The company is developing the Chaparral – an uncrewed, transitioning lift-plus-cruise vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft to deliver cargo rapidly and flexibly by air (300-500lbs, 300miles). Elroy Air’s mission is to improve the quality of life around the planet by expanding the reach of express logistics via air cargo at a cost and environmental impact lower than today’s airplanes.

H55 is headquartered in Sion, Switzerland. H55 is a leading provider of electric propulsion solutions and battery pack systems with the mission of enabling the aviation industry to reach net zero CO2 emissions by 2050. With global customers comprised of OEMs, component manufacturers and operators, H55’s modular systems have already been proven in real flight conditions and are now being integrated in different types of aircraft configurations including general and regional aviation fixed-wing applications, for both existing and new concepts (in the CS 23 and CS 25 certification categories), as well as new aviation designs such as VTOLs featuring high power distributed electric propulsion systems.

Reliable Robotics is headquartered in Mountain View, California and was founded in 2017.The company is developing safety-enhancing automation systems that enable remote operation of any aircraft type. Reliable Robotics’ vision is to transform the way we move goods and people around the planet with safer, more convenient and more affordable air transportation.

Transcend Air is headquartered in Carlisle, Massachusetts and was founded in 2017. The company designs and manufactures a family of high-speed tilt-wing vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft based on the Vy 400. The mission is to bring the promise of fast (400+ mph), affordable and safe civil VTOL flight within everyone’s reach and enable a new regional city-center to city-center Aerial Regional Transport (ART) service.
