Singapore Airlines is investing S$45 million (US$34.1 million) to revamp its first- and business-class SilverKris lounges and its KrisFlyer Gold lounge at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 during the next two years, the carrier announced Tuesday.
The new lounges will have more space and seating capacity and include “upgraded facilities, signature elements from SIA’s flagship lounges at Change Airport Terminal 3, and an enhanced variety of food and beverage options.”
The first-class SilverKris lounge will include more capacity, floor-to-ceiling windows, a renovated bar with premium offerings and barista services in the morning, according to Singapore. Construction began April 15 and is projected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2025.
The business-class SilverKris lounge will increase in size by 30 percent and will include a quiet rest area with recliners, a redesigned living room area, an expanded self-service buffet, a new full-service bar with barista-made coffee in the morning and signature cocktails in the evening, according to Singapore. Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The KrisFlyer Gold lounge will double in capacity and have new amenities, such as in-lounge restrooms and shower suites, according to Singapore. Construction is expected to begin in the first half of 2026.
The entire project is slated for a mid-2027 completion, according to Singapore.
