The Dassault Aviation completion facility in Little Rock, Arkansas now has sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) available for customers.
The use of SAF at the Little Rock location is part of Dassault’s SAF plan to reduce the carbon footprint of the company’s aviation operations. With the plan, all flights operated by company-owned Falcon aircraft will begin using SAF blends. All aircraft flying business, transport or Falcon support will now have access to SAF.
The use of SAF can reduce carbon emissions by up to 80 or 90 percent compared to conventional jet fuel when used in its concentrated form. All Falcon aircraft are certified to use up to a 50 percent SAF blend. The Falcon 10X ultra-long-range twin will be able to use a 100 percent SAF blend after its entry into service.
The business aviation industry is leading the way in global decarbonization, with a goal of net zero emissions by 2050. The BizAv market only accounts for 0.04 percent of worldwide CO2 emissions. SAF is currently a leading solution for sustainable aviation goals. Many in the industry are pushing for a transition to SAF in order to meet environmental goals by 2050.
Dassault’s Little Rock facility will be supplied with SAF by Avfuel Corporation and Neste.
