In what’s already been a year of major growth for Atlantic Aviation, the FBO chain is growing once again.
After buying properties in the Caribbean earlier this year, Atlantic has now closed on its acquisition of Blue Heron Aviation at Providenciales International Airport (PLS) in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The facilities also serve business-aviation clients in George Town (GCM) and Cayman Brac (CYB), Cayman Islands.
“Expanding our presence in the Caribbean in this way is an important component of our ongoing strategy of being ‘local everywhere,’” said Atlantic Aviation CEO Lou Pepper. “It’s our way of continuing to ensure we’re not only where our customers want to be, but also that we respect and reflect the culture of each of the local communities we serve.”

The move comes on top of Atlantic’s announcement last November that it was buying Ross Aviation, expanding the company’s footprint into the Caribbean and growing its operation to more than 80 FBOs.
Atlantic also acquired several TAC facilities and now operates more than 100 FBOs.
Atlantic said in a statement that the newly acquired base in Turks and Caicos offers its customers a range of services for aircraft, crews, and passengers that include fueling and ground handling.
The facilities include 12 acres of unobstructed ramp space, a 6,800 square foot terminal with office space and crew lounge, and an onsite conference room.
Atlantic will keep the existing staff in place, and the facility will be led by general manager Roger Murphy. Immigration and Customs personnel are onsite at the FBO as well.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
